"Wallpaper Of Our Culture" Exhibition. 2025

Held at London’s 309 Bethnal Green Road, on Monday 16th – Sunday 22nd June 2025. The exhibition included a large- scale installation featuring collages created by Page from a two-year process of archiving uncensored, published images spanning the last seven decades.

By creating a space where there is no escape from the images, Page’s intention is to demonstrate the constant drip feed of this type of messaging, which we are all absorbing daily in our lives, from day one. What imprint does this leave on us?

Page also questions how new digital technology is not only failing to address the gender stereotyping and misogyny that is so obvious in the images on display, but whether it is actually reinforcing gender bias as AI learns from a mega base of historic inequality.

As a poster on a bus stop, an online digital ad or as targeted content on social media, it is easy for these images to appear innocuous, but they are

not. They are the wallpaper of our culture.
